Sometimes written smol net. Notice how it says "net" and not "web". It's one of the great things about the small net. It's not limited to the web. Any internet protocol can be part of the small net, such as gemini or gopher.

The small net is about people using simple technologies to connect. It's about Humans and not bots. It's genuine and raw. It's slow but it's profound. It's few interactions but meaningful ones. It's substance above the appearence.

Small net is timeless in a way. It's incredible to browse gopher content from the 90s and realize that what's written could have been written last week and we'd never know. People don't write to get more followers, they write because they can't not write, because it's part of who they are. That's what makes it special.
